Big waves of light...
Well there have been two random pictures sitting on my blog the past few days so I suppose its about time I explained them. It was my cousins wedding Saturday afternoon so we (we being me, Claire, my mum and brother) headed down to sunny Oxfordshire Saturday morning. Three hours and a several hundred roundabouts later we arrived at the church, already sweating my back side off I we had to wait outside the church in the boiling hot sun. The church was a welcome relief from the heat until it filled up with sweaty old people and screaming kids and was soon as unbearable as the sun outside. In a classic bit of 'school boy' humor the best man had written on the soles of the grooms shoes "Help" which was visible to everyone when he knelt down for the blessing, sending sniggers around the packed church. The reception was just as hot, if not hotter than the church, the heat was just inescapable. It was a really nice wedding and a really good evening. However things perhaps would have been better if the temperature was a few degrees cooler.
We stayed in Brize Norton as the reception didn't end until 11.30. We were home by 2.00 Sunday afternoon and the sun was still shining so me and Claire headed to Walberswick to make the most of it. We just laid on the beach, paddled, walked and talked. We arrived to find the beach packed, absolutely packed but within and hour or two everyone had left (just about).
A very pleasant and chilled out weekend...
